Prior to the procedure, we received a call from Dr. Low to advise all was good and the procedure was going to be performed. I had lived here two years ago and immediately contacted my previous vet. They were so booked could not see her and recommended an emergency clinic. I did so. They were able to run a few preliminary tests and discovered internal bleeding. With limited capabilities, they recommended I take her to Blue Pearl in Jacksonville or Maitland the following day. I reached out to them at 7 am the next morning but could not be seen again for several days. Ravenswood agreed to squeeze her in and we are all happy they did. They were all wonderful from front desk to staff and especially Dr. Low for keeping me well informed of what they found in tests and also the surgery performed. While waiting I have to also thank the good Dr. Carnathan at Bayshore, who was our vet before we moved north,. He called concerned about how she was doing. Discovering that his sinus problems were actually stemming from a cancerous tumor in his soft pallet. We never would have known without the staffs keen eye and willingness to go a step above what was planned for testing. The whole experience enabled us to get him on proper medication to manage the cancer, and 3 months later he is still going strong and happy. We switched to Dr. Lo after she cleared up an ear issue in just one visit that he'd seen previous vet (who always tried to help) for multiple times, and suffered with for months. Can't say enough GOOD things about Dr. Lo, she's very patient and caring, extremely knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond to help your pet! Staff has always been helpful and maintains professionalism with us, and we're picky and exhausting clients with many questions. I've heard others complain about pricing, but we feel their pricing is fair; spent more in the long run repeatedly taking dog to previous vet, who was cheaper per visit, but didn't solve the issue, and had to keep going back, so would've actually saved money if we would've found Dr. Lo sooner. He had a inverted tail issue, prior vet just kept giving us antibiotics. I took him to ravenwood ,saw Dr. Emerson. Dr Emerson suggested his tail be removed to cure the problem. She did a beautiful job on his surgery. After surgery was done, Dr Emerson said his tail was badly infected & difficult surgery. Dr Emerson is top notch & very familiar with english bulldogs. Canelo sees Dr. Emerson for all his care going forward.Last year he tore his ACL. Dr. Malensek repaired his ACl tear. Surgery came out well. Now he tore his other ACL 12 months later, we will be having that repaired.Owning bulldogs you need to seek a vet with experience with the breed. Several vets don't have that.I would recommend Ravenwood Vet if you want to get to the bottom of your pets problems.denise L.denise L.Staff and doctor were excellent. It just misses that "wow" factor... maybe a more flavorful sauce or better cheese? I would definitely go back, I just won't have the expectations I had. We also tried a slice of rainbow cake made by the "cake boss" during our visit, and we found it to be outstanding... but things went south after it reached room temperature. New to the area, looking for a vet, Nextdoor app had given Ravenwood a lot of good references. I couldn’t have picked a better place ! The facility is clean, the staff is kind and gentle with the pets, the doctors are caring and thorough.
